About Bruna Martinuzzi

Bruna Martinuzzi

As President of Clarion Enterprises Ltd., Bruna Martinuzzi has helped numerous leaders to achieve personal effectiveness. She is a strong believer in the concept that self-awareness precedes self-management and she assists leaders in enhancing their self-awareness as the stepping stone for self-development and for achieving their personal best.

Bruna is a certified Leadership, Emotional Intelligence and Presentation Skills facilitator and consultant. Her background incorporates 30 years of experience in senior management and executive leadership positions in the resource and technology fields. She holds a B.A. and a M.A. from the University of British Columbia and has completed advanced Emotional Intelligence (EQ) training through the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, the EQ Teaching certification through Six Seconds, the International Emotional Intelligence Network and the EQ Technologies Certification (Seattle). Bruna is a certified instructor for DeBono's Six Thinking Hats, a licensed facilitator for the Coaching Clinic© for Managers, and a qualified Myers-Briggs® consultant. She is also a HayGroup accredited consultant in the Emotional Competence Assessment. Along with expert facilitation, leadership development and presentation skills, Bruna brings to her interventions several years of executive coaching, having been certified as an Executive Coach from The Business School of Royal Roads University.

Bruna lectures at the Simon Fraser University MBA Program, the University of British Columbia Sauder School of Business, The University of Northern B.C., The British Columbia Institute of Technology and The University of B.C. Okanagan. Bruna speaks at numerous events such as the Telus Leadership Forum, the High Tech Exchange, the B C Technology Industry Association's Human Capital Symposium and the annual meeting of Westlink's Technology Commercialization Program.

Bruna is the author of The Leader as a Mensch: Become the Kind of Person Others Want to Follow, published in March 2009. She is also the co-author of The Power to Lead: Lessons in Creating Your Unique Masterpiece (.pdf 356 KB), published in June 2009. She also published numerous articles on leadership in Mind Tools, Warren Bennis' Leadership Excellence Magazine (.pdf 1.04MB), The Leader's Edge, 1000 Ventures, Prentice Hall's Human Resources Management, The H.R. Reporter, H.R. Online, The Personnel Journal and Business Ethics Magazine. She is currently working on her third book scheduled for publication in April 2010.

Bruna speaks six languages. She is the recipient of several awards, including the B.C. Workplace Excellence Award For Unusual Innovation (1992), the Izaak W. Killam Memorial Pre-doctoral Fellowship for three years in a row and the Social Sciences & Humanities Research Council of Canada Award.
